The system is an indigenously designed and customised drone integrated with a fixed, continuous, and flexible hose pipe of over 200 metres in length. The hose is connected to a high-capacity pressure pump stationed at a dock or fixed base, enabling uninterrupted water supply without relying on onboard payload storage.
The drone provides precise aerial positioning and manoeuvrability, allowing water to be sprayed accurately at specific and otherwise inaccessible locations such as elevated surfaces, confined zones, stockpiles, embankments, and remote operational areas. Continuous pumping from the dock ensures sustained spraying operations, overcoming limitations of conventional tanker- or battery-dependent spraying systems.
By combining controlled water delivery with drone-assisted targeting, the system effectively suppresses fugitive dust emissions at source. This approach enhances operational efficiency, improves worker safety by reducing manual intervention in hazardous or hard-to-reach areas, and supports compliance with environmental dust control requirements.
